Pope John Paul II School Facts

 

 

Originally opened in 1955 as St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School, but closed in 1971.  Reopened in 2002 and changed name in 2005 to Pope John Paul II Catholic School. 
Currently 92 students in PreK-3 through 6th grade.

 

 

Enrollment has tripled since opening in 2002

         Quality, affordable education for Catholics and non-Catholics

         Capital campaign underway to raise $4.3 Million for new school

         Ground breaking for new school took place on February 18, 2007

         $2 Million have been raised with private funds

       After school programs are:  Drama (annual dinner theater),

                  Hockey, Crusaders Club (community service)

         Low turnover/drop out ratio of less than 5%

         Iowa Test Scores average 2 grades above current grade
